The Raptors 905 have only been around since 2015, but they already have a championship under their belt.
After going 23-27 in their inaugural season, the Raptors 905 bounced back nicely last season by winning 39 of 50 regular season games and followed up that outstanding performance by going 6-1 in the playoffs to capture the title.
Now known as the NBA G League, the regular season got underway this past weekend and the Raptors 905 held their home opener on Wednesday night against the Long Island Nets. Since it was their first game on their home court since winning it all, they used some time before the game to raise the banner to the Hershey Centre's rafters.
After losing their season opener on the road to the Grand Rapids Drive, the Raptors 905 weren’t going to let the Nets spoil the party and bounced back with a huge 91-65 victory on Wednesday night.
