Andrew Whitworth spent the past 11 season as an offensive tackle for the Cincinnati Bengals before signing a three-year deal with the Los Angeles Rams this past summer.

The Monroe, Louisiana native started the BigWhit 77 Foundation with his wife, Melissa, while he was with the Bengals and the couple has hosted and taken part in plenty of community initiatives in Louisiana and Cincinnati since the foundation’s inception, and now you can add Los Angeles to their list.

The three-time Pro Bowler celebrated his 36th birthday on Tuesday and instead of receiving gifts on his special day he decided to hand some out to some kids at Grape Street Elementary School in Los Angeles.

The Rams’ offensive tackle spent his birthday at Grape Street Elementary School where he surprised nearly 600 students with brand new bicycles and helmets, which were all purchased by him and his wife.

After surprising the children with brand new bikes and helmets, Whitworth explained to LA Times’ Lindsey Thiry why he decided to make those purchases for the students.

Since the former LSU Tiger is the oldest player on the Rams’ roster, quarterback Jared Goff decided to have some fun at his offensive tackle’s expense.

The veteran has played a key role in the Rams’ turnaround this season as they hold a 9-4 record and sit in first place in the NFC West heading into Week 14.
