Sunday, Guingamp played Stade Rennais in Ligue 1 action in France, leading to one of the most comical goal flops of the year. Watch as Guingamp's Jimmy Briand stumbles on a breakaway with a wide open net in front of him after making contact with Rennes' keeper.
Briand was seemingly in a perpetual state of falling. That's a definite double whammy. Not only did Briand miss out on a sure goal, he has now been guaranteed a permanent place in the "worst breakaway flops" top ten list from now until eternity.
Still doesn't beat this guy's "fall," though...forever the best.
