At this point everyone has heard the messages about staying indoors and washing their hands, and a lot of people have been listening, but there are still some people who haven’t figured out how important social distancing is right now.

On Wednesday, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Dr. John Williams went on CBSN Pittsburgh and took a shot at the Cincinnati Bengals as his way to try to get the message across to most residents.

Dr. Williams told local residents that what they’ve been doing is working so far, but because the virus can spread in two-week waves he reminded them that they’re not close to eliminating the virus. That’s when his football reference came in to play.

"You know, when the Steelers are playing the Bengals in the divisional playoff and we have the Bengals down 21-7, that is not the time to let up. That is the time to keep blitzing every play. So, I think that’s where we are now. It’s just hard to know when it will be time to start lessening restrictions."

Hey, whatever it takes to get the message across, do it.

When news broke that Tom Brady was going to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown used his press conference to tell residents not to go out and celebrate the news, but instead to stay at home.
