North American hockey fans were saddened when Pavel Datsyuk announced he would be playing the 2016-2017 hockey season for the KHL’s St. Petersburg SKA.

During his days in the NHL, ‘The Magic Man’ was known for his world-class hands and wicked backhand. In a KHL playoff game against HC Vityaz, he put both on display en route to scoring an unbelievable goal.

Although many of us here in North America wish we could see more highlights like this one in the NHL, it’s nice to see that he’s still doing his thing in his home country.
