Game 1 was one to forget for Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry.

The Veteran was essentially invisible, posting a goose egg in a 104-101 loss to the Magic at Scotiabank Arena. Lowry finished the game 0-7 from the field with 7 rebounds and 8 assists in 34 minutes. Many have been critical of Lowry’s playoff play throughout the years and his harshest critique may have just came from future Hall of Famer Paul Pierce. The Oakland native, who now serves as an analyst on ESPN’s ‘The Jump’, was pretty clear on his view of Lowry.

Do you agree with Paul Pierce? 🤔

The Stats speak for themselves.

Pierce: Lowry is why people don't respect the Raptors in the playoffs

Ouch.

For reference, Lowry’s stats in first round Game 1’s have really spoken for themselves. Last year he scored 11 against the Washington Wizards, 4 in 2017 against the Milwaukee Bucks, 11 against the Indiana Pacers in 2016 and just 7 against the Washington Wizards in 2015. This past regular season he averaged 14.2 PPG, 4.8 rebounds and 8.7 assists.

Raps fans will be looking for Lowry to bounce back and breath some life back into the series before heading back to Orlando. He’ll get a shot at redemption at 8 PM Eastern Time across TSN on Tuesday night.
