Tuesday, Isaiah made his highly anticipated return to Boston when the Cavaliers took on the Celtics. However, Thomas was not in the lineup for the game, and as such, requested that the Celtics delay their planned tribute video for when he's actually on the court and his family is able to make the trip.
The Celtics agreed to Thomas' request, and did not air a tribute video. The next time the Celtics play the Cavs in Boston is on February 11th, so theoretically that would be the next opportunity for the team to air a tribute video for Thomas. Unfortunately, that falls on the same night as the planned date for Celtics legend Paul Pierce's jersey retirement. Something that Pierce has a bit of an issue with.
The simple solution to this would be to delay Thomas' tribute even further, especially considering the fact that they already delayed it once at his request.
