Brad Marchand is one of the NHL’s most renowned trash talkers — hate him or love him, you certainly have to admit he’s good at his craft.
Even Patrick Sharp said as much, acknowledging that the Bruins agitator “does an excellent job of getting underneath people’s skin.” To back that up, he shared an anecdote from the 2013 Stanley Cup Finals, when Marchand apparently began to trash-talk his daughters.
The twist? At the time, Sharp only had one daughter. It wasn’t until October of that year that his family welcomed a second daughter to the family.
That’s right: Brad Marchand is so good at talking trash that he can see the future. But, while Sharp turned it into something of a funny story, maybe Marchand should leave the kids out of it next time? Sharp and the Blackhawks got the last laugh back then, though, when they won the Stanley Cup against the Bruins that year.
Stick to the trash-talking classics! Like when he drew a penalty on Justin Williams in Game 2, and pointed him to the penalty box by mocking his captain’s C.
