How successful the Bruins are and have been in the playoffs recently can be directly tied to Brad Marchand. The Bruins are 23-1 in the postseason when Marchand scores and 37-9 when he records a point.
When Marchand isn't recording points, though, he's always making life difficult for his opponents by chirping them and literally doing anything to get under their skin.
Everyone is familiar with what Marchand does on the ice in terms of trying to rattle opponents and ahead of the Stanley Cup Final, Patrick Maroon of the Blues explained what makes him so effective and what the Blues have to avoid doing.
In the heat of the moment, it's definitely easier said than done to leave Marchand alone. Just ask Hurricanes captain Justin Williams who had a tough time leaving Marchand alone in the Eastern Conference Final.
Marchand can have an impact in more ways than one and we're excited to see if the Blues will stay true to their word, especially when things get heated in the series.
