Hockey players are… a type.

Their off-ice interviews can tend be a little uneventful at times (y’know?) but they’re a different animal on the ice… especially after taking in some smelling salts. Tampa Bay Lightning forward Patrick Maroon was mic’d up for a game against the Colorado Avalanche and reminded everyone that hockey players can be pretty funny, too. After sniffing away to start the game, Maroon was caught getting some maintenance work on the bench and of course, talkin’ a little smack to his opponents.

"WOOOOO!!!! LET’S F*****’ GO BOYS!" Corwin would be proud.

And how about that trash-talking? “Tough guys when the refs come in, eh? Eh tough guy?”. We love to see it!

So we’ve seen what a grown professional sounds like on the playing surface… but what about a kid? Pretty crazy to see the differences between the two.

Justttttt a tad less swearing.

Think we can all agree that the NHL needs more players like our guy Patty.
