It appears that Edmonton Oilers fans have finally reached the boiling point.

After showing so much promise two years ago, the Oilers have been in a downward spiral ever since and find themselves inching closer to a lottery pick in the upcoming NHL Entry Draft than a playoff spot.

On Tuesday night the Oilers were embarrassed 6-2 by the Chicago Blackhawks on their home ice, which included five goals in less than nine minutes in the third period by the Blackhawks, and one Oilers fan wanted to let the team know he’s seen enough. Rather than just getting up and leaving the building, he walked towards the action and tossed his Oilers sweater over the glass and onto the ice.

Tuesday night’s loss pushed the Oilers' current losing skid to six games, a span which they’ve given up 30 goals and scored just 17 goals, so you can understand why patience is starting to wear thin among the Oilers faithful.

Edmonton became the first team with two 30+ goal scorers this season, but Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl can only do so much.
