Nearly two weeks ago, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida was struck with tragedy after seventeen people were killed in a shooting.
This past Thursday, Florida Panthers goaltender Roberto Luongo delivered an impassioned speech on the Parkland school shooting, stating that "no child should have to go through that" and calling for the community to rally behind one another.
Sunday, the Parkland community received an emotional boost during their healing process after Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School managed to win the Tier 1 SAHOF state title in hockey.
