Who likes getting shutout, are we right? One of the worst feelings in the game of hockey and after last night, there’s surprisingly one team remaining in the NHL who hasn’t gone goal-less once this season.
And they happen to be one of the worst teams in the league.
Despite owning a goals per game average of just 2.62 (24th in the league), the Ottawa Senators are offciailly the only team that has not been shutout this season after the Washington Capitals were heled off the score sheet in a 1-0 loss to the New York Islanders on Tuesday night.
Who would’ve thought?!
Ottawa currently sits second last ahead of only the Buffalo Sabres with 30 points on the season, with their leading scorers Brady Tkachuk and Drake Batherson having just 12 goals to their name. This stats is actually pretty remarkable when you think about the season the Sens have been having.
Only 17 games left… can they go the entire season without getting goose egged? Time will tell.
