Of course, this now gives the Oilers a higher chance of winning the first overall selection in this year’s draft after the way the lottery went, and the fans were quick to point that out, too.
During the season everyone pictured Alexis Lafreniere in a Detroit Red Wings or Ottawa Senators jersey, but now they’re trying as hard as they can picturing him possibly playing with Sidney Crosby or Connor McDavid.
