Mikko Rantanen continues to prove that the Colorado Avalanche have more than one offensive superstar. The Finnish forward tore up the NHL once again this year, netting 66 points in 52 games played. That was good enough to tie Auston Matthews and Patrick Kane in a three-way tie for 5th in the league.

Regular season Mikko is dangerous, but postseason Mikko is proving to be lethal.

Rantanen is currently riding a 17-game playoff point streak, dating back to last season. The last playoff game Rantanen didn’t record a point was Game 2 against the Arizona Coyotes in the 2019-20 1st Round.

There haven’t been many NHLers to accomplish the feat. There have only been seven point streaks of 17 or more games in playoffs, three of which belong to Wayne Gretzky.

Moose’s shot at joining Esposito and Gretzky at 18 games comes on Sunday for Game 4 against the Vegas Golden Knights.
