Following the tragic passing of Kobe Bryant earlier this year, Nike quickly sold out of products from its Kobe line as fans clamoured for gear to remember one of the greats by.

The first new Kobe release since his death is here. Nike is dropping a new shoe called the Nike Mamba Fury, which is intended as a cheaper alternative to the signature Kobe line.

Although this is the first new Kobe sneaker since his passing, this shoe wasn’t released with much fanfare by Nike, and it’s likely that the brand will eventually roll out more plans to celebrate Kobe and his classic line of signature shoes.

For now, though, we’re sure that Mamba fans will be eager to get their hands on this shoe and pay respect to a legend.

There were previously rumours of a retro Kobe sneaker set to release in late March, but it looks like that shoe, the Kobe 5 Protro, has yet to hit the market. It was previously worn in a Lakers colourway by Anthony Davis during the NBA All-Star Game.
