Athletes in every sport love their dogs. From Klay Thompson’s dog Rocco to the David Price’s dog Astro, they even take on some popularity of their own.

Those are those most famous dogs around, but there are plenty more where that came from. For National Puppy Day, athletes from the NHL, CFL, NBA, UFC, MLS and MLB shared photos of their dogs and families. National puppy day really isn't about puppies at all, it mainly covers dogs of all ages. Because any opportunities pet owners get to share pictures of their friendly beasts, they'll jump at it. We're not complaining either, this is one of our favourite days of the year.
