It's been a tough start to the season for the Detroit Red Wings and there a few numbers that support that fact. For starters, the Red Wings have one win thus far (through 9 games) and are in dead last in the NHL with 4 points.
They've also allowed a league-worst 39 goals and just when you think it couldn't get worse, Arby's actually changed their fries giveaway, possibly due to the Red Wings' lack of offence.
It's important to note that for we're not sure why Arby's changed the giveaway, but that the hat trick giveaway had been a staple for a long time.
Hat tricks don't happen often, but Red Wings teams of the past had a lot of skilled players that were capable of scoring three goals on any given night. It's a different time in Detroit now, though, and scoring 3 goals in a game has not been easy so far this season (they've done it three times in nine games).
