Nazem Kadri thanked Toronto in heartfelt Instagram post after getting traded

Monday, the Maple Leafs and Avalanche shocked the hockey world with a trade rather than signings as free agency officially opened.  

Toronto finally got a top right-handed defenceman they've desperately been trying to acquire in Tyson Barrie, while the Avalanche upgraded down the middle of the ice thanks to Nazem Kadri.

For both players, this is the first time they've been traded and will be playing for another team.  Kadri has been with the Leafs since 2009 and he was a big part of the turnaround in Toronto.

Tuesday, less than 24 hours after the trade, Kadri took to Instagram to thank Toronto in what was a very heartfelt post.

All the feels.  All players involved in the trade didn't want to leave, but excitement awaits Kadri, Barrie, and Kerfoot in both Colorado and Toronto.
