Nazem Kadri suspended remainder of first round and there are plenty of mixed reactions

 

Nazem #Kadri has been suspended for the remainder of the first round. Thoughts?

In other words, @NHLPlayerSafety did not mention previous Kadri/DeBrusk shenanigans in Game 2, which to me took the crosscheck to another level.

That could be 2-5 games.... Most likely 3 or 4. Garbage suspension for a constant offender. This should've been a set game amount that carried over to next season if not fulfilled in playoffs.

The remainder of the first round is quite the arbitrary suspension for Kadri imo.

It doesn’t really set a precedence of what a five-time repeat head shot offender should get.

Two is seemingly the usual for any head shot. One to three more games seems like random “punishment”

Suspending someone for "the remainder of the first round" is stupid. Give a number. Suspend him for 4 or 5 games. Make a decision.

So if the Leafs win in 6, Kadri can play game 1 of the next series. BUT if the series goes to 7 games, Kadri can't play? That's so dumb.

Kadri gets the rest of the 1st round but no one is taking blame or talking about the knee on knee he took or gets punished for it. Good job nhl make sure a Canadian team doesn’t go deep in the playoffs that’s your goal
