If you know there’s something unique about baseball fans, it’s their romance with the game. Truly, there aren’t other sports fans quite like baseball ones.

And if you’re a baseball romantic, then the upcoming Field of Dreams MLB game DEFINITELY has you feeling some kind of way.

Following a year-long delay due to the pandemic, the Chicago White Sox will finally take on the New York Yankees in Dyersville, Iowa to compete on a Field of Dreams-esque stadium, complete with a cornfield surrounding to live up to the 1989 baseball classic film.

Taking to social media Thursday afternoon, Major League Baseball posted the following photo of the stadium in Iowa and we are absolutely just counting down the days until August 12th to see absolute magic unfold.

The game will take place near the filming location of the film, as the original Iowa cornfield does not use the same dimensions as a regular MLB field.

We mean, if this promo of Aaron Judge shucking corn doesn’t get you hyped up, then we don’t know what will!

Though here is where the bad news comes in. As only 8,000 fans will be able to experience the game in person, there is only one way to be selected for tickets.

A lottery program, folks!

The program is only exclusive to residents of Iowa. The registration that will take place from Friday, July 16th to Friday, July 23rd, will only be open to people with Iowa zip codes.

From there, fans selected will be given the opportunity to purchase up to two tickets for the event.

FIRE US UP, we are so ready to tune into this game on August 12th.
