It’s well documented that Mitch Marner and Patrick Marleau are good friends. Given their age difference, Marleau has served as that ‘cool older brother’ kind of guy for his younger teammate, but as it turns out, Marner seems to be playing a similar type of role for Patrick’s son, Brody. The two have developed a friendship since the Marleaus moved their way North of the Border last season and ahead of Leafs practice, they engaged in an adorable water fight on the bench. Eventually, papa Marleau had to step in and give his son a talking to!

This wasn’t the first time Brody was caught going after his buddy Mitch, either. Ahead of the 2018 postseason, the youngster admitted he was trying to steal Marner’s girlfiend.
