Minor League Baseball teams are known for having very creative promotional nights, but they’re also known for having completely random ones as well.
On Tuesday night the Tri-City ValleyCats, a Minor League Baseball affiliate of the Houston Astros, are hosting Hockey Night in the Capital Region for their game against the Brooklyn Cyclones and they’re rocking some fantastic uniforms for the occasion.
The ValleyCats decided the best jerseys to turn to for their hockey theme night would be the ones the US men’s hockey team wore when they defeated ther Sovieyt Union to capture the gold medal at the 1980 Olympics in Lake Placid and it was the right call.
Fans will have a chance to bid on the jerseys throughout the night, which will be auctioned off after the game, with proceeds going towards the MS Society.
