Milan Lucic and Zac Rinaldo are the tough guys on their team, but their new style is more reminiscent of a minor hockey player.
A lot of people that played hockey have made some change to their hair in solidarity with the rest of their team. You can dye it your team colours, you can get mullets, you can get a Mohawk, you can even just shave your head – the most popular option has always been the bleach blonde hair.
Lucic and Rinaldo decided to bring that style to the NHL, both bleaching their hair blonde for their New Year’s Eve game against Chicago.
We’re not sure this flow quite matches the photo of Kris Letang and Brad Marchand in their junior days, but we love seeing the style in the pros.
Unfortunately for the Flames, it didn’t help them win their game and James Neal scored three goals and had four points on the same night… so they got roasted.
