You won't even need 10 percent of your brain to watch this science debate on a sports talk show.
Tuesday, New York Knicks forward Michael Beasley appeared on an SNY podcast with host Taylor Rooks to talk about the upcoming NBA season. We're not quite sure how or why, but at some point the conversation shifted from basketball to discussing how humans only use 10 percent of their brain. Now, firstly, the '10 percent theory' is a total myth. Sorry to those of you who were hoping that the pill from 'Limitless' was real.
This didn't stop Beasley from attempting to explain why he believes that some people can actually use 11 percent of their brain. His logic? Someone had to use 11 percent to figure out that the rest of us mere mortals can only use 10.
If you're not going to cite scientific sources to introduce information into a scientific debate, you probably shouldn't be having that debate. And especially not on television. We wonder what Kyrie Irving's opinion on this topic is...
