Baseball fans attending this Saturday’s Washington Nationals game are in for a blast from the past as the team is going to wear throwback Montreal Expos uniforms for their tilt with the Kansas City Royals.
Ahead of the Nats’ game against the Miami Marlins on Wednesday night, pitcher Max Scherzer warmed up in the bullpen and gave everyone a sneak preview of the uniforms as he threw some pitches in the throwback uniforms.
Both the Montreal Expos and the Kansas City Royals entered Major League Baseball during the 1969 expansion, and the Royals will join the Nats in rocking their grey throwback uniforms from their inaugural season.
