The Matthew Tkachuk vs. Brady Tkachuk mini-series is now underway, and round one definitely went to Brady. The Ottawa Senators piled on a 6-1 win over the Calgary Flames on Thursday in the first of five meetings concluding on March 7.
While we aren’t expecting any less passion from the two brothers, we wouldn’t expect the two to drop the mitts any time soon. While both of them are known for dropping the mitts when the time comes, Matthew’s been pretty clear that he has no plans to fight his younger brother.
Ahead of their game on Thursday, the older brother made it pretty clear in the funniest way possible.
On top of that, they likely just don’t want to upset their parents. Keith Tkachuk has made it very clear that him and his wife Chantal would not like to see their pride and joy beating the pulp out of each other.
