Matthew Tkachuk hit Drew Doughty with an unexpected elbow to the face during his rookie season and the Kings defenceman hasn’t forgotten about the incident.
The Flames and the Kings will meet for the first time of the 2019-20 season on Tuesday night in Calgary and it’s pretty clear that the rivalry between the two players is still alive and well. Following each team’s practice on Monday, both players were asked about their opponent and they each provided completely different answers.
It appears that the feud between the two players won’t be going anywhere anytime soon and we’re totally alright with that. TSN’s Jermain Franklin got more on the rivalry that shows no signs of being resolved.
Their first meeting of the season should be a good one.
