Wednesday night, the Golden Knights hosted their first ever Western Conference Final game and from pre-game to the final horn, their battle with the Jets lived up to the hype.
Lost in Winnipeg's loss, though, was a record-breaking outing from Mark Scheifele.
The 25-year-old has been dominant on the road during the postseason and that continued in Game 3 as he scored twice to bring his goal total on the road this postseason to 11, which is a new NHL playoff record.
Scheifele's got at least one more chance to add to his record number of road goals and if he does so in Game 4, the Jets could be going home with the series tied once again. For now, though, it's all about Marc-Andre Fleury and the Golden Knights moving two wins away from a trip to the Stanley Cup Final.
