It’s hard to look anywhere in Toronto or the GTA right now without spotting someone rocking some sort of Toronto Raptors gear as the franchise prepares for its first ever NBA Finals in franchise history.
Whether you’re a diehard fan or just jumping on the bandwagon for the time being, just about everyone in and around the city is showing support for the Raptors right now in many different ways. Marcus Stroman and the Toronto Blue Jays just wrapped up a three-game series in Tampa Bay and are heading to Colorado for a two-game series with the Rockies, but first the Jays’ ace had to get in a quick prediction before Game 1’s tip-off.
Stroman’s going with Raptors over the Warriors in 7 games with Fred VanVleet taking home the NBA Finals MVP. Stroman didn’t just drop a series and MVP prediction, though, as he dropped statline predictions for the players, too, going with 40 per game for Kawhi Leonard, 20 points and 12 rebounds per game for Pascal Siakam, 10 points and 10 rebounds per game for Marc Gasol, while Danny Green lights it up from beyond the three-point line.
