The Toronto Raptors squeaked by the Brooklyn Nets with a 114-113 win tonight, but fans are more focused on an injury star point guard Kyle Lowry suffered in the extra frame. With a bit more than a minute remaining, Lowry collided with Nets guard Joe Harris and fell awkwardly on his back after attempting to grab a rebound.
Teammates proceeded to lift Lowry off the floor together which came as a frightening sight for Raptors fans. Lowry leads the team with a 6.9 assists and is second behind DeMar DeRozan with 16.2 points per game.
Lowry was forced from the playing surface and was wheeled out for tests. As he was leaving, he revealed his X-ray will be on a very uncommon part of his body.

Head coach Dwayne Casey later confirmed the news.
At 6’0 feet, Lowry is one of the league’s smaller players, which might make fans wonder why he would go up for the board in the first place. The Philadelpha native has displayed a unique fearlessness during his time with the team, though, and is part of the reason why he is cherished by the Raptors’ faithful.
