Earlier this year Lonzo Ball joined Damien Lillard as one of the only active NBA players to drop a full length hip-hop album when he released 'Born 2 Ball,' on February 15th.
Ball has also caught the attention of hip-hop fans this season with his constant trolling of legendary MC, Nas. Well, if you were confused by Ball's taste in hip-hop before, you're about to receive a little bit of clarity.
Monday, with the Lakers in Atlanta, Ball was asked to name his current top five rappers, and you'll notice the similarity between them quite quickly.
Future, Drake, Quavo, Offset and 21 Savage. Each and everyone of those artists are currently on top of the genre, and another similarity? Each of them are below the age of 35. It's pretty clear that Ball is essentially only a fan of modern hip-hop, which does make the omission of Kendrick Lamar a little bit puzzling. But perhaps he skews more towards trap influence.
Perhaps Lonzo also factored in whether or not he has actually met the artist in person as well?
That, or whether or not he's rapped over the artist's beat before...
