Still, Lionel Messi’s twist on the challenge is sure to pull you back into it. We’re not sure how this is possible! In fact, it might even be doctored footage — it just seems a little too convenient that he pulled this off during a sponsored shoot with Pepsi.
We know Messi is pretty skilled with a soccer ball, but this is just nuts. In the original post on his Instagram — a sponsored post with Pepsi — the comments are full of people questioning the authenticity of the video.
We’ll also note that this isn’t the first Messi clip to become subject to this type of controversy. Last year, Messi pulled off this incredible cross-pitch nutmeg of an unsuspecting reporter — as part of an advert for adidas, causing fans to question if this video was for real.
Eh. Still pretty sick!
Messi's post also appears to be a response to a similar post from Mo Salah, who, like Messi, has partnered with Pepsi for a trick shot of his own.
