The U.S. women’s hockey team ended a 20 year slump last weekend when they captured the country’s first Olympic gold medal in women's hockey since the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano with a 3-2 shootout victory over Team Canada.

Considering it’s the program’s first gold medal in two decades, hockey fans across America are still celebrating the victory nearly one week after it happened, and rightfully so. On Wednesday night the Tampa Bay Lightning hosted the Buffalo Sabres and they had the entire U.S. women’s hockey team on board for the ceremonial faceoff.

The women also spent some time during the night to sign autographs for fans in attendance, and they got quite the ovation when they were shown on the jumbotron holding their gold medals for the kiss cam segment.

The Lightning aren’t the first team to honour the gold medalists with a ceremonial faceoff as the Los Angeles Kings had the women drop the puck ahead of their game against the Vegas Golden Knights a couple of nights ago.
