Isaiah Thomas became a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers back on August 22, 2017, after the Boston Celtics shipped the 29-year-old to the Cavs in a blockbuster trade that sent Kyrie Irving to Boston, but he didn’t make his debut until January 2, 2018.
Despite carrying the Cavs through the first three months of the season, LeBron still managed to find time to work with Thomas. Only it wasn’t in real life, it was through NBA 2K.
Now that LeBron is set to play alongside a lot of new faces for the remainder of the season, you can probably guess what he’s been up to over the past few days to prepare for the new players.
Obviously scouting players in a video game doesn’t always carry over to real life, but LeBron wanted to get an early glimpse of what the Cavs’ lineup is going to look like the near future so he turned to NBA 2K18 once again.
As for the real players, they were in the gym together for the first time on Saturday and seem to be getting along just fine.
The Cavaliers will test out their new lineup on Sunday afternoon against the Celtics in Boston.
