March Madness is right around the corner and it's one of the most exciting events in sports because of the rivalries, the upsets and most importantly, the players who become household names overnight.
That said, even though we're just days away from the month of March, March Madness isn't dominating headlines right now. Instead, the story dominating headlines is the FBI's ongoing corruption investigation into college basketball.
A couple of days ago, Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy sounded off on the NCAA and on Tuesday, LeBron James followed suit as he didn't hold back.
One of debates that's been going on for a long, long time in college athletics is paying the student athletes due to the fact that they bring in so much money to schools and the NCAA.
While speaking about the issue, LeBron also proposed an alternative for young basketball players that he'd like to try and make come to fruition.
James went straight from high school to the NBA, but his two sons are on track to play basketball in college in the future, if that's the route they decide to take.
