Toronto Raptors fans are preparing for the biggest case of heart ache since the unexpected departure of DeMar DeRozan. There are some players that it’s just difficult to imagine the Raps being without, and right now that player is unequivocally Kyle Lowry.
The longest tenured Raptor, Lowry also holds top spot on a lot of significant Raps’ franchise lists. He’s generally thought of as the Greatest Raptor of All-Time (GROAT) by most, and is beloved across the country and beyond.
Saying that, the trade rumours are beginning to swirl pretty rapidly, and it’s possible that he gets dealt in the coming days or weeks before the trade deadline.
While Lowry seems accepting of whatever happens, he did make sure to declare how important the city of Toronto is to him, and even goes as far as to declare that he intends to retire as a Raptor.
Toronto will always love Kyle Lowry, no matter what happens in the next couple weeks.
