Throwing mics onto athletes is always bound to bring hilarious results. During big games, you get an insight into a player's emotions and intensity. During spring training games, you get to see a whole different side of people.
Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo were wired ahead of the Chicago Cubs’ spring training game against the L.A. Angels, and the result was perfect.
Spring Training is a time to get back in shape and clearly Kris Bryant isn’t quite there yet. Of course, he also seems like the kind of guy to ham it up for the cameras. Later in the game, Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo joined the broadcast live while on the field, and came to an awkward realization.
What was possibility the best sound byte of the afternoon, came from Rizzo during one of his at bats.
There’s still time for the Cubs to work out the kinks. As long as they get their uniforms lined up for their season opener on March 26th, then all will be ok in the world.
