The Milwaukee Brewers and the St. Louis Cardinals wrapped up a short two-game series in Milwaukee on Wednesday and the game ended in dramatic fashion.

With the Brewers leading 6-5 in the top of the 9th inning, Cardinals right fielder Randal Grichuk stepped up to the plate with the tying run on first base and one out left. Grichuk connected on a pitch from Corey Knebel that looked like it was going to sail over the wall in centre field and give the Cardinals a one-run lead late in the game.

However, Keon Broxton was not going to let that happen on his watch.

The best part about the game-saving/winning catch by Broxton is the fact that he didn’t even start and he had just entered the game the previous inning. We’re used to seeing teams win with a walk-off home run or hit, but this is something you don’t see happen very often.
