Keith Tkachuk enjoyed an illustrious 18- year career in the NHL, but now it’s his son who’s doing the family’s damage in the league.

A sixth overall selection of the Calgary Flames in 2016, 20-year-old Matthew has made a name for himself as one of hockey’s bigger pests. The American has engaged in his share of fights and rarely backs down from an opportunity to drop the mitts.

Keith has visibly showed tremendous support for his son, appearing at many of his hockey games and following his young career game-by-game. But the 45-year-old recently shared an unflattering comment that could have been interpreted by his son the wrong way, stating that Matthew “has that face you just want to punch.”

So… should the youngster take that as a good or bad thing? How would you take it?

Matthew’s little brother, Brady, seems to agree with his father. The prospect for the upcoming 2018 draft discussed the opportunity of scrapping his brother, and he (and his parents) apparently believe Brady would come away with the W.

We’re guessing Keith’s comment were made with no ill intention, but hopefully Matthew doesn’t mind knowing that his father thinks he has a face that “people want to punch.”
