All is well in Toronto.

The city is aglow WITH the promise of a potential championship.

the TTC has been running without delays since the Raps closed out the Bucks, the usual procession of zombies in the financial district seem to have an extra pep in their step, and people have been making eye contact with one another - even making smiling sometimes -  on the streets.

Seriously, the Raptors being one win away from winning the NBA Championship has the city buzzing like never before.

But somewhere in the back of the minds of Raptors fans, there’s a certain uneasiness.

Raptors superstar and Toronto’s most loved individual, Kawhi Leonard, becomes a free agent at the end of this season, making his future in the Big Smoke uncertain.

Toronto fans have gone all out in trying to ensure that he stays, with initiatives like Kawine and Dine,  and different Toronto agencies and companies offering him ludicrous incentives to stay with the Raptors.

Then, last week, the city took a collective deep breath, when rumours swirled that Kawhi bought a house in Toronto, seemingly locking up his future in Canada.

Today, in a press conference ahead of Game 5, where the Raptors could close out the series and secure a title, Leonard finally addressed the rumours.

While he confirms that he hasn’t bought a house he does say *yet* which could be a good sign for Raps’ fans.

We’ll see what ends up happening as the series comes to a close, and if Leonard does end up staying in Toronto.

If he does, though, there’s no need to buy. He’s already been offered a free penthouse.
