The 2018 NBA Slam Dunk Contest is set to take place on Saturday night in Los Angeles and basketball fans are certainly in for quite the show.

Taking part in this year’s competition are Victor Oladipo, Larry Nance Jr., Dennis Smith Jr. and Donovan Mitchell, but we might have to consider Carolina Hurricanes co-captain Justin Faulk for the contest.

Although Faulk’s dunk was exactly legal, it still got everyone in the room on their feet and had them going nuts as he posterized head strength and conditioning coach Bill Burniston.

The Hurricanes had a day off on Saturday so some of the guys spent the day in NBA All-Star weekend mode, but they'll return to action on Sunday afternoon when they host the New Jersey Devils.
