For a player not even signed to an NFL contract, Johnny Manziel has had one of the most public offseasons of all players. There were reports that he was trying to sign with the CFL for a while, which led to Johnny Football addressing the rumours in a very odd way over Twitter – his favourite platform to discuss his circustances.
The drama all came to be following Manziel’s off-field struggles leading him to lose his job in the NFL. While he won a Heisman Trophy once upon a time, teams basically decided he wasn’t worth the drama. Now Manziel is looking to make his way back to the NFL, but he’s going to have to take the scenic route to get there.
Manziel seems determined to prove to everybody, including himself, that he is capable of redemption. While that’s all well and good, people wonder if he’s still able to sling it. As shown in a video, Manziel’s arm looks like it at least has the power.
Manziel will be playing in Spring League action, marking his high-profile return to the field. Whether he is able to make his way back to the big show is yet to be seen. In the meantime, people couldn't help but make the comparison...
