There’s no denying that hockey is Canada’s game. There’s just nothing more Canadian than hockey.
The sport is almost synonymous with the nation itself, and growing up, most kids in Canada dream of someday playing on the sports biggest stage.
While very few kids actually turn out to be NHL players, it doesn’t stop the majority of these kids from also dreaming about someday winning the pinnacle of hockey.
Of course, we’re talking about the Stanley Cup, and this year, with the St Louis Blues win, 19 Canadian Stanley Cup dreams became a reality.
While the team itself is obviously American, the overwhelming majority of this team being from north of the border meant that they had to celebrate in a Canadian way somehow, and Joel Edmundson made sure of that when the Cup visited his hometown of Brandon, Manitoba.
While there's nothing more Canadian than hockey, the thing that's a close second might be poutine.
The defenseman hit peak Canadian-ness when he enjoyed some poutine out of the Lord Stanley, and we can’t believe no one’s thought of this before.
That photo is the epitome of Canada.
Edumdson kept the Canadian kindness going when he visited both his minor hockey team and a local hospital on his day with the Cup, too.
The ball is in everyone else’s court, but we’re not sure that it gets any more Canadian than this.
