About a month of free agency has passed, and the signings have slowed to a trickle. He may be a NBA champion now, but Jeremy Lin remains unsigned, and it seems to be a difficult experience for him.

Speaking in Taiwan, Lin discussed how free agency was taking a personal toll on him, and how rock bottom only seems to be getting “more and more rock bottom” for him.

Initially starting the season in Atlanta as Trae Young’s backup, Lin came along to Toronto after the trade deadline, but he was mostly relegated to third-string duty behind Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet for most of his Raptors stint.

The last few years have been injury plagued ones for Lin, and turning 31 soon, there may be a real possibility that he’ll have to head overseas for his next contract. With that said, you never know which teams may try to fill a hole on their roster late in free agency, and it seems to happen every year that an impact player just slips through the cracks into August.

Whatever happens, though, Lin should be able to rest easy knowing that he’s already made his history.
