John Tavares is causing a whole lot of stress for a handful of NHL clubs this week, but TSN’s Jeff O’Neill is trying to make some light of the situation.
The potential free agent is scheduled to meet with at least five NHL teams in LA this week, as they attempt to grab his services. Odog seems to think the teams should scratch their meetings, though, and settle the situation in a similar format to The Bachelor. He insisted that James Duthie should be the show’s host.
Can’t you see it? Duthie dressed up in a sharp-looking suit, handing out roses to Kyle Dubas, Lou Lamoriello and Doug Wilson (to name a few)? And the drama that could potentially unfold between Lamoriello and his former team? It just has the makings for a fantastic show.

One team that would unfortunately miss out on the show would be the Montreal Canadiens, who fell out of the running. General Manager Marc Bergevin and his staff were reportedly crossed off Tavares’ list weeks ago.
