The Vegas Golden Knights won their first regular season game in franchise history last night and hockey fans are fired up about it.
After trailing 1-0 to the Dallas Stars heading in to the third period, assistant captain James Neal pulled hero and scored two late goals; one of which came while he was falling to the ground. Despite getting outshot 46-30, Vegas was able to squeak out a narrow victory over their highly skilled adversary.

‘The Real Deal’, as the scorer is known by around the league, quickly became a fan favourite during his time with the Dallas Stars and Nashville Predators, and already appears to be one with his new team. A fan, likely from Las Vegas (although that is not confirmed), recently made a few adjustments to his Wikipedia page that subtly complemented the forward.

Neal, of course, is not 7'24, does not shoot both ways, and was not drafted first overall in 2001. In fact, he wasn’t even drafted in the first round, as he was selected with the 33rd overall pick in the 2005 draft. The first overall pick in the 2001 draft was none other than Russian superstar Ilya Kovalchuk.

It’s always hilarious to see minor changes made to an athlete’s Wikipedia page, and this one is certainly up there as one of the best. At this point, we’re pretty surprised that the team’s Twitter account didn’t notify fans of the change already. At least they were quick to remind them that the team is already in a playoff spot.
