Jake Arrieta has had one of the most notorious beards in all of sports over the past couple years.
Pitching on the biggest stage in all of baseball in the 2016 World Series earned his whiskers some serious notoriety and now we barely recognize him. Earlier today, Arrieta’s wife, Brittany Arrieta, shared an image of her husband with the hashtag “#babyface”. The beard is officially gone.
Who knows if it will come back at any point in the offseason or next year, but it may just be the start of changes for the Arrieta family. Arrieta does not have a contract for the 2018 season, so people have already started speculation about him moving out of Chicago.
In fact, a couple people pointed out that their house had a for sale sign in front of it, but Brittany cleared that up pretty quickly.
