With the NFL Draft approaching, former Pro Bowl defensive end Yannick Ngakoue has made his desire for a trade from the Jacksonville Jaguars known. Early in March, he went public with his trade request on Twitter, although the Jags would still apply their franchise tag to him a few weeks later.
Now it looks like we have more drama brewing. It started with a tweet from Ngakoue directly aimed towards Jaguars co-owner Tony Khan, to which Khan responded leading to a back-and-forth between the two.
Well, this is certainly new! While trade requests can become messy affairs at times, it’s rare to see a player get into it with an owner through a multi-tweet exchange, especially while the player is still on the team.
The NFL Draft begins on Thursday. Wonder if we’ll get any closure to this drama?
