It took 37 games into the 2017/18 season, but Isaiah Thomas finally made his debut for the Cleveland Cavaliers after being acquired from the Boston Celtics in the offseason blockbuster that saw Kyrie Irving head to Beantown.
With 4:33 remaining in the first quarter against Portland, Thomas was subbed into the game and got massive standing ovation from the Cleveland faithful.

During his first offensive possession, IT notched an assist. Thomas then drained a pull-up jumper with 1:11 left in the quarter before converting a three-point play with 32 seconds left in the first.
Thomas finished the game with 17 points, and drained 6-of-12 (including 3-of-8 from behind the arc) in the Cavaliers 127-110 win over the Portland Trail Blazers to give them 13 straight wins at the Quicken Loans Arena
Since Thomas is being eased back into action, he won’t be in the lineup when the Cavs clash with the Celtics on Wednesday night.
It was Thomas’ first time back out on the hardwood since Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals back on May 19th when Thomas played against Cleveland as a member of the Celtics.
The 28-year-old Tacoma, Washington product took in 19 minutes of action against the Trail Blazers.
